When the humidity is high and the weather is pretty sticky, it can be terrible for those who vape. We are always instructed to keep 18650 batteries away from very high temperatures, so what do you do when it is blistering hot outside and the humidity is at an all-time high? Heat can have negative effects on coils, e-juice and other parts of an e-cigarette. Here are some tips that will help you make it through the summer with minimal issues.
The first thing you have to remember is to keep batteries away from direct sunlight and other sources of extreme heat. There are no exceptions to this rule. If batteries get overheated, they can explode. This is why it is essential that you never leave your batteries in vehicles and other overly heated places. Even if things are not disastrous, the heat can cause damage to the battery, which means it will not last as long as you had hoped for. When you are going on extended trips, make sure that you give your battery a break now and then. This will help you conserve power. If you have a device with a built in battery, you should use a wall charger if possible. The alternative would be to charge it for short periods before you begin vaping.
It is common for people to forget and leave e-juice in their vehicles even though the result can be pretty terrible. When you leave e-juice in overly hot conditions for too long, this can drastically reduce the quality. Once it becomes overheated, the liquid may become thicker than usual, which means that it is more likely to clog your tanks. Excessive heat can also have an adverse effect on nicotine levels. This can ruin the taste and make it less effective. If you notice any discoloration of your e-juice, you should probably throw it away. Avoid this in the future by removing it from places where it tends to be pretty hot.
This applies to all of the coils, tanks and juice that you have on hand. If you are headed someplace that is located pretty far, you can avoid incident by keeping them inside a cooler with good insulation.
